In reading Day 79's post, I realize now in retrospect that something was up. Obviously, I'll have to become more attuned to listening to my body.

Repeat that Sequence!
At the end of Day 79, I found myself lying in bed, dizzy and nauseous. As a result, I've taken off the last few days to recover from whatever I had. Although I felt better on Wednesday, my body was telling me that I should give it a bit of a break. So, I'll be restarting Week 12 next Monday, and completing this round next week.

P90X+: Round 3: Day 79: Plyometrics
I'm now into week 12, with a slight hiccup: I completed Upper Plus on Sunday, took yesterday off, then came back today with Plyometrics.
It was difficult getting into Plyometrics today, as I had a 25h fast yesterday, capped by an evening of overeating following the fast. No matter how much I convince myself beforehand that I won't overeat, I always manage to do so. Sleeping was difficult, as I had a full stomach and ate fairly late into the evening, and, upon awakening, my stomach still felt a little strange and slightly unsettled. For awhile, I was concerned that I was going to lose my stomach during Plyometrics, even though I was sipping frugally on my water during breaks, just to keep my lips moist and a little refreshment in my belly. Even as I write this, I still feel somewhat unsettled. Although the fast was easy, the repercussions last some time. My body isn't used to being deprived that way, considering I'm drinking a lot each day and eating every few hours. It was a bit of a shock to my system.
Although I felt a bit off today, I did feel great after the workout. It never fails to amaze me how much better I feel after my body is put through its paces, compared to how I feel when I first climb out of bed. Also, I've come a long way since that cold day in December 2008, when I first did Plyometrics, and was jelly-legged, lightheaded, and slightly nauseous all day. Now, I feel alive and energized. What a difference.
I tried to work as hard as I could today, and managed to get in a solid workout, stomach notwithstanding. During gap jumps, the DVD froze, and I had to pause awhile while I cleaned the disc. I think it was disrupted by some sweat which must have dripped onto the disc the last time I used it. A good cleaning solved the problem and I was able to get back into the gap jumps, although my heart rate dropped during the cleaning. It made it somewhat difficult to get back on track (no pun intended). Overall, it was a good workout, and I still rank Plyometrics as one of my favourite discs. It will be awhile before I get back to it, but I'll include Plyo as part of the next round's customized workout.
